Clackamas Regional Water Supply Commission
In December of 2013 the Clackamas River Water District, a water district formed under ORS 264, and the Sunrise Water Authority, a water authority formed under ORS 450, approved through separate ordinances the formation of the Clackamas Regional Water Supply Commission (CRWSC), as allowed under Oregon Revised Statutes Chapter 190. The purpose of the CRWSC is to allow for the effective and efficient use of existing natural resources and infrastructure, along with the consolidation of administrative operations between the agencies.
The CRWSC Board of Commissioners consists of six members, three representatives from each member agency's Board. The CRWSC follows public agency budgeting practices and has developed the first biennial budget for fiscal years 2014-2016. A budget committee consisting of the CRWSC Board and members of the public consider and approve the budget during a public meeting.
