Unusually high bills are typically associated with either increased seasonal usage or leaks in the home plumbing or irrigation systems.

Review your consumption history by logging into On-line Bill Pay if you suspect a leak. Comparing your usage month-to-month shows variations in your water use pattern during the year and can help determine when a leak began.

If the consumption pattern appears consistent and only recent bills seem too high, request a re-read of your water meter to rule out human error.

 You can also check for a leak in your water system using your water meter.  You can also calculate the volume of a leak with some simple calculations.  Instructions on how to do so can be found on the Water Meter page.
