All fees and charges for Sunrise Water are established by the Board of Commissioners during regularly scheduled Board of Commissioner meetings held on the fourth Wednesday of each month.  Water consumption rates are established by the Board using a multi-phase process that is open to the public and includes opportunities for public comment and testimony.

A public hearing on a water rate increase proposal is scheduled for March 18, 2020 at 6:00 p.m. at Sunrise Water Authority.  Customers are encouraged to attend and share their thoughts and views.  Customers can also email comments to or call 503-761-0220 and follow the prompts to leave a voice message that will be provided to the Board in written form prior to the hearing as long as it is received by 5:00 p.m., March 17.  More information on the proposal can be found here.

Sunrise Water is a public agency.  As such, there is no profit derived from our operations.  Funds collected from all sources are utilized entirely for the operation, maintenance, and improvement of the public water system.  All of the expenses for the agency are detailed in the annual budget.
