Protecting public health is what motivates Sunrise Water Authority every day as we work to assure that safe drinking water is there when you need it. During Drinking Water Week, consider how Source water protection, Water treatment technology, and water quality monitoring are all part of providing drinking water that meets or exceeds every drinking water standard.

Source water protection involves programs and projects that seek to prevent pollutants and contamination from entering the Clackamas River in the first place. Water treatment technology is used to remove contaminants that have found their way to the source water. Water Quality Monitoring programs are designed to assess and monitor the presence or levels of contaminants present in the drinking water in the Sunrise system.
