Zone 6 Vacancy Flyer Pdf File >

We are governed by a seven-member Board of Commissioners, whose responsibility is to set policy and provide oversight of the organization. Each commissioner represents a zone of the district and must be a registered voter within the zone they represent. The seat for Zone 6 is currently vacant and the Board is seeking a resident of that zone to fill the vacancy. A map of Zone 6 is provided on the reverse side of this notice. An interactive map of the Board zones is also available on our website at

Board Responsibilities

The Board of Commissioners meets once a month to conduct routine business. Meetings usually occur on the fourth Wednesday of the month and average 2-3 hours. Additional meetings may be required as business necessitates or if a commissioner is appointed to committees or other special assignments.

Appointment Process

Candidates do not need experience in a water-related field. An open mind, curiosity, and a desire to serve your community are primary qualifications. You must reside within the Zone 6 boundaries.

The position will be filled as an appointment by the Board and will be up for formal election in May 2025. If the appointed individual is then elected, they will serve the remainder of the term which expires June 30, 2027.

The Board will consider résumés submitted by Friday, March 15, 2024.
